Kirsten’s passionate love for the outdoors and nature imbues her very essence. From a young age, Kirsten was exposed to hiking, biking, skiing, and sailing, usually with large groups of family and friends. These experiences helped foster her deep affection for the outdoors, athletics, and for sharing these experiences in community. She fell in love with skiing and ultimately, it was the spirit of the mountains that brought her to Colorado in 1991. Kirsten began her professional career working 26 years as a ski and tennis coach. She left in 2021 to allow herself greater freedom to focus on the healing arts and other business endeavors. In 2017 Kirsten was introduced to don Oscar and the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition of Cross-Cultural Shamanism. The spirit of the ancestors called asking Kirsten to remember on a profound level how to live in balance with our beloved Earth Mother. This was the beginning of her incredible heart-centered journey into Earth-honoring shamanic practices. As a Peace Corps environmental volunteer, Angela served in the very region our PMT lineage is anchored through the line of don Celso. She lived for two years in a small farming village in the cloud forests of Ayabaca, Peru and spent her days there primarily tending relationships and learning deep humility and awe of culture, place and land. Before and after her time in Peru, she served her Colorado community as a bi-lingual elementary teacher in urban Denver. Angela nurtures a deep kinship with Ancestors, Place, Nature, Spirit, and Heart and is exhilarated to share this Love with the PMT community. She is the co-author of SPIRIT: A Dance of Poetry. Currently residing at the foot of Sisnaajini (commonly known as Mt. Blanca) in the San Luis Valley of Colorado, Angela is living off-grid while learning to work with the energies of that place. She is practicing reciprocity with 35 acres while on the epic adventure of building an Earthship, a fully sustainable home-temple that is the deepest expression of her creativity.

“The apprenticeship gave me the communtiy I’ve been seeking. Sharing, learning and growing with a group of fellow seekers who are on the path of the healer was extremely powerful, especially in the context of an intact lineage.” – Delia Echagary, Sacramento, CA

Part 1: The Call to Heal: Releasing the Past – September 22 – 24, 2023
This apprenticeship workshop initiates participants into the Pachakuti Mesa, a powerful and sacred altar. Students learn how to create their own mesas and work with them for self-empowerment, transformation, and helping others. Through shamanic journey and visionary states of consciousness, participants will explore the three worlds of the Andean cosmovision, sacred reciprocity with all that is, the core ingredients of ceremonial mastery, sacred sound and ritual language, healing, and curanderismo, and the inner world of the ukhupacha.

Part 2: A Balance of Power: Transforming the Present – December 8 – 10,  2023
During this workshop intensive, participants will apprentice in the center direction of the mesa, traditional Peruvian healing practices, and the kaypacha, the middle world. They will explore the kaypacha’s elemental matrix and magico-spiritual power, and learn about the moon’s presence in the middle world, mapping the cosmos on Earth, and celestial death and rebirth.

Part 3: The Condor’s Quest: Creating the Future – March 1 – 3, 2024
This workshop is an initiation into the paqokuna, the Andean Shaman/Priesthood mystical path, the lineage of the sacred mountains, and the five virtues of the mesa. Participants will also journey to and experience the hanaqpacha, the upper world beyond the physical, work with the unseen world there and deepen their connection to their own spiritual resources.

Part 4: The Hummingbird’s Ascent: Living the Mystery – June 14 – 16, 2024
In this apprenticeship workshop students will experience the upper world and learn about its lightning bolt of mystical illumination and the flow of kamasqa, the power of Creation. They will work with the elements, the forces of the universe, the body of Mother Earth, and sacred healing objects. In sacred reciprocity participants will create despachos to honor Mother Earth, the sacred mountains, the elements, the unseen world, and prepare for a paqowachu, a sacred pilgrimage.

Part 5: The Shamanic Self: Serving the Earth – September 13 – 15, 2024
This workshop deepens participants’ experience of soul and spirit through ritual process, including the spiritual creation, activation and care of an apacheta. Students will work with the power of creation in the kaypacha or middle world, dimensionality and time, as well as with the three suns, and the hampikamayoq process (ancient breathing techniques for physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being and transformation). Participants will be further empowered by evoking both seen and unseen sources of cosmic awareness within their mesa, sacred objects and own being, and initiation into the lineage of this revered tradition.
