Dearest Ones, Hello! And welcome to 12 jaguars! This is a recovery group informed by Andean Cosmology for those who suffer from addiction, those who might be curious about implementing deeper change in their lives, or for families of one who suffers from a compulsive illness.
We are here–children of the sun and moon–as earth honoring practitioners looking to deepen our spiritual practices and to overcome challenges and the deadly dis-ease of addiction. We are not affiliated with AA, NA, or any other formal entity, rather we are earth beings–free agents–gathered to seek out our highest selves and our soul divination in the midst of our very real troubles.
Let us open with a seven-count wave breath pattern followed by an opening prayer:
“Oh, great Creator, we are of a tribe of collective consciousness, bound and in service to one another, our planet and all its celestial beings. We call on the forces of the principal directions, their allies, and all the wisdom of the ascended ancestors as we enter in council, for unification with ourselves, our families, and our Pachamama as a whole”
- Chairperson (Jeff Gould) will then present a topic for 5 to 10 min. on a reading* or personal experience as relates to a step or principle used to help overcome addiction.
- Every 4th Monday of the Month, we will have a selected guest speaker share for 10-20 minutes before opening up to questions or comments.
- The remainder of the meeting will be three to five minute shares of participants.
- Closing: “We want to remind you, what you see here, what you hear here, stays here”
We will now close with an elongated serenity prayer:
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time, and
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
