Spring Equinox Despacho Ceremony – Troutman, NC

Date(s) - 03/24/2019
2:30 pm - 7:00 pm

The Despacho Ceremony we will participate in is from the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition, a Peruvian tradition as taught by don Oscar Miro-Quesada. These ritual offerings are created to give thanks for the gifts we have received and to offer ayni (sacred reciprocity) to Pachamama (Mother Earth), the Apukuna (Sacred Mountains) and the Unseen World, including the guardians of nature and the Spirit Realm of the various pachas (dimensions). We will be offering gratitude for the Winter we are moving out of, into the Spring of New Beginnings. This is a non-denominational ceremony.

Please bring:
An open heart and willing hands
An offering for the Despacho – such as flowers (red and white are traditional, all colors and varieties welcome), incense, cocoa/chocolate, beans, candies, cottons/ribbons, glitters, rice, tobacco, herbs, etc.
A journal
Drum, rattle, musical instrument
Something comfortable to sit on, this is an outdoor event, weather permitting
Appropriate clothing for outdoor
