Dear Sweet Ayllu,
Its time to come together in community to honor the passing of the Spring Equinox. We will be creating a collective ayni despacho, offering medicine songs and sharing our visions and intentions for the upcoming season. For those who are unfamiliar, despachos are beautiful mandala-like offerings composed of plant materials, animal materials, man-made items, minerals and incense that are ritualistically offered in gratitude to the unseen beings that support our lives. Greg Iadorola and Alaina Hernandez will facilitate this ancient, ceremonial creation and blessing of our collaborative despacho, guiding participants to connect with their prayers of gratitude and intentions for spring.
All are welcome to this inclusive community ceremony; no prior experience with the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition is required.
What to bring: Small items that will be offered as “foods” for the despacho*
Plant materials (flower petals, leaves, seeds, etc)
Animal materials (teeth, fur, feathers, etc)
