Ligaya was born in the Philippines and grew up with the indigenous tribe of the Cordillera mountains on the island of Luzon. She spent her youth as part of a community that is rich in rituals honoring our beloved Pachamama, the cycles of life, and nature. Her emigration to the United States in 1986 severed this connection and caused her to eventually forget. Ligaya joined the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition in 2015. The PMT helped her remember and tap into forgotten shamanic rituals and ceremonies from the tradition she belonged to as a young girl, valuing wisdom from the ancestors and practices giving back to the seen and unseen world. More importantly, the PMT provided her with a heart-centered community that values right action as a way of life. Ligaya lives in Sacramento, California and is blessed with three talented kids.

In this workshop, we will define the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition™ (PMT) which emphasizes both personal and planetary healing. This practice involves ritual and ceremonial mastery of the mesa as passed down through the lineage of Peruvian curanderos. Originated by don Oscar Miro-Quesada, respected kamasqa curandero and altomisayoq adept, it is a tradition rooted in Peruvian curanderismo which emphasizes personal and planetary healing.

You will:

  • Learn the fundamentals of shamanic practice and empowerment
  • Create your own Mesa, a sacred altar ground and shamanic tool for engaging enlightened beings and elemental energies
  • Discover the three worlds, five directions and a vibrant lineage of ceremony, healing, transformation, and heart-centered community

The mesa is an altar-like arrangement of empowered objects, a shamanic tool which is used to engage enlightened beings and elemental energies for restoration of balance, health and harmony between humans, other dimensions, and our natural world. Mesas are used for healing, ceremony, journeying, manifesting, divination, transformation and communion with the spirit realm. The mesa is a reflection of you, and an extension of your Self.

Come and create a basic mesa and begin learning how to work with it!
