Life, when seen through the lens of ceremony, is a performing orchestra of divinatory phenomena. The guides are everywhere… if you have the eyes to see. There are few arts in the apprenticeship of a curandero(a) that unlock the language of ceremony the way this ancient system of divination can. It places the aspirant in the position of direct communication with the source of creation. There is no wiser teacher, guru, guide, or master than this.
This weekend retreat will make this language of direct communication with the source accessible. You will walk away with the linguistic fluency to begin dialoguing with your Mesa, and indeed all of the forces it governs, with proficiency, clarity, and ease. Moreover, this art lends itself to mapping your inner world, and can help in finding clarity inside the dark and recessed parts of the self that have a hard time finding the light.
Like all teachings in this ongoing apprenticeship with Mateo, our work together is never only about what is overtly discussed. The true ceremonial teachings of this retreat find themselves being revealed in the seams of the teachings. In ceremonial teachings, you are always showing up for more than just a lesson plan. What stirs and emerges within you in the heart of a ceremonial container is how the true teachings reveal themselves.
